The manufacturing sector of today is facing an industrial revolution. To be more specific we are in the midst of Industry 4.0, where technology is transforming and disrupting traditional manufacturing processes. What’s more, Industry 5.0 and the future of manufacturing is no longer an emerging dot on the horizon, but rather a reality that is becoming more prominent with every day that passes. Driven by technologies such as artificial intelligence, IoT, automation, cognitive technologies and machine learning, the manufacturing sector is transforming and it is the businesses who are best poised and ready to adopt this tech that will be the frontrunners in the market.
SwarmOnline has with Manufacturing companies to help them upgrade their technology and effectively apply IoT solutions.
WE’VE WORKED WITH
Maersk Oil were keen to create a buzz and excitement around their exhibition stand for one of their largest events of the year.
SwarmOnline designed and built a game in which the objective was to ‘build’ an oil pipeline, against the clock as well as with another competitor. The game was launched at Maersk’s stand and displayed live on a large screen, it was an immediate hit with delegates and what was intended to be used for just one event, continued to be used for over 4 years.
SwarmOnline built an application for E.ON’s field technicians to manage their scheduled work, install smart meters effectively and increase the efficiency of the technician’s day.
Swarm used future proof architecture allowing E.ON to reduce their future support, development and testing costs. The data visualisation design techniques and experience that Swarm brought to the project resulted in an intuitive and dynamic user interface which reduces time E.ON employees spend on data entry and helps to improve data quality.
